Council Meetings for the Municpal Year 2008-2009
The Town Council is serviced by two main committees. These are the General Purposes and Environment Committee, and the Policy & Finance Committee. Each of these two main Committees comprises of all of the Members who meet on a nine week cycle, resulting in five ordinary meetings for each Committee during the municipal year. The responsibility of the Council and its Committees is to take policy decisions about how services are carried out, what the priorities should be, and how the Council's resources should be allocated.
Members of the public are welcome to attend any meeting of the Council, or its Committees. although there are occasions when meetings must go into private session when dealing with matters of a confidential nature. Minutes of the Town Council meetings are available for inspection at the Town Council offices, and also available on the documents page of this website.

Town Council Meeting: 10/7/2008, 9/10/2008 (Arncliffe), 4/12/2008, 12/2/2009 (New Hutte), and 16/4/2009.
General Purposes & Environment Committee: 5/6/2008, 4/9/2008, 6/11/2008, 15/01/2009, and 5/3/09.
Policy & Finance Committee: 19/06/2008, 18/09/2008, 20/11/2008, 29/01/2009 and 19/3/2009.
Special Meeting: 19/6/2008 & 16/4/2009.
