At the Annual Meeting of the Town Council, held on Thursday 12 May 2011 at Hollies Hall, Hollies Road, Halewood , Cllr Bob Swann was elected as Mayor of Halewood for 2011-2012. Cllr Gary See was elected as Deputy Mayor for the same municipal year. Pictured below is Cllr Swann receiving the congratulations on his acceptance of office from Cllr Norman Hogg, Leader of the Town Council.

IT IS WITH SADNESS THAT THE TOWN COUNCIL HAVE BEEN INFORMED OF THE PASSING OF FORMER COUNCILLOR KEITH MCGHEE, WHO DIED IN THE MARIE CURIE CENTRE ON SUNDAY 29 JANUARY 2012. THE MAYOR, FELLOW ELECTED MEMBERS AND STAFF WOULD LIKE TO OFFER THEIR CONDOLENCES TO KEITH'S FAMILY.
