The Code of Recommended Practice for Local Authorities on Data Transparency
(Persuant to Section 2 of the Local Government ,Planning & Land Act 1980)
With effect from 28 September 2011, a new code of recommended practice on data transparency applies to parish councils with a gross income or expenditure in excess of £200,000. Halewood Town Council are proud to say that the majority of this information is already provided electronically, and has taken the steps to update this page with either the information required, or point to a link where this is already provided on this website.
Expenditure over £500.
The Town Council will provide a pdf version of its approved schedule of payments in this section after each meeting of the Town Council. Please click on the date below to view a shortened schedule of payments which which displays all payments of £500 and over. The first schedule displayed is on13 October 2011. A council is obliged to publish any expenditure over £500, including supplier and transaction information. Theses lists will be kept on display for one complete calendar year.

Senior Employees
The Town Council are required to publish details of any senior employee salaries, job descriptions etc for those earning over £58,200 per annum. There is no employee of the Town Council earning in excess of this sum as at 10 November 2011.

Councillors Allowance & Expenses
Halewood Town Council do not pay Councillors Allowances which mirrors the recommendation of the Local Remuneration Panel on such matters. Each year the new Mayor of Halewood is given an allowance of up to £1,000, which has been traditionally distributed in small amounts to local good causes. No personal benefit is gained from this allowance.

Grants paid appear on a yearly basis within our annual report, which can be accessed by clicking here or by viewing each Payment Schedule which is reproduced as a pdf under the heading "Expenditure over £500" above.
